Shrnutí
Projekt BRITA in PuBs je zaměřen na zvýšení uplatnění inovativních a efektivních řešení
při rekonstrukcích budov s cílem snížit spotřebu energie a zapojit obnovitelné zdroje s pouze mírným zvýšením investičních nákladů.
Tento cíl je především realizován prostřednictvím devíti demonstračních veřejných budov ve čtyřech evropských regionech (sever, střed¨, jih a východ). Výběrem veřejných budov různého účelu jako je vysoká škola, společenské centrum, dům s pečovatelskou službou, kostel a pod. je možné oslovit skupiny obyvatelstva různého věku a společenského zařazení. Veřejné budovy mohou zvýšit povědomí a citlivost společnosti v oblasti energetických úspor.
Společensko ekonomický výzkum prováděný v rámci projektu zahrnuje stanovení potřeb projektového plánování a finančních strategií, hodnocení návrhových směrnic a vývoj internetových nástrojů pro opatření na úspory energie při rekonstrukcích.a nástrojů na zajištění dobrého dlouhodobého fungování budov a systémů.
Důležitou součástí projektu je šíření výsledků. To je rozděleno do dvou částí. Menší část zahrnuje školení uživatelů a personálu a větší část zahrnuje prezentaci výsledků pro různé cílové skupiny. Toto bude prováděno různými přístupy na národní i mezinárodní úrovni využitím internetu a dalších médií a organizováním a účastí na konferencích.
Projekt je organizován geograficky podle regionů a zahrnuje vlastníky budov a vědecké týmy složené z architektů a inženýrů. Práce na projektu jsou koordinovány na společných setkáních řešitelského týmu, které se koná dvakrát ročně.

| European congress on energy-efficient building |
|
As part of the Fair BAU 2007 Germany´s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bau und Stadtentwicklung) is putting on a European congress on the subject of energy-efficient building, on 15 and 16 January 2007. The congress will take a look at the regulatory environment and government support initiatives from a European perspective. Other emphases will be knowledge transfer and the latest technology.

Hol church in Norway is one of the demo projects of the BRITA in PUBs project.
This building is located in the middle of mountainous Norway close to Geilo, known for its ski resort. As the church is a listed building the introduction of energy retrofit measures is a challenging one. Recently, an article in a local newspaper has attracted a lot of interest to the project. | Goals reached in highly innovative low energy community centre in Borgen, Norway |

The renovation of Borgen Community Centre has been completed. The goal was to reduce energy consumption by 50% or better. The goal has been reached by a number if innovative low-energy building technologies covering additional insulation, a natural hybrid ventilation system with inlet towers and underground culverts and heat pump heating.

Cost-effective heating energy savings on prefabricated slab buildings is an issue of great importance due to the large number of this type of buildings that exist in Europe and now are in need for renovation. Considerable savings have been realised within the promoter program: "Energy Redevelopment EnSan" in which modernisation concepts using innovative materials and technologies have been developed and demonstrated.
