Monitoring
Design
Monitoring system was integrated into a Building Management System. Sub-metering of heat, water and electricity was implemented in order to get more detailed readings on energy and water consumption. Meters using the communication protocols supported by BMS were chosen for the monitoring system. (April 2008)
The design of the building monitoring system was done together with the design of the building systems. Some of the sensors are employed for both control and monitoring of the building equipment. The monitoring system has been integrated in the BMS (Building Management System).(June 2007)
Installation
Components of the monitoring system were installed as part of the BMS. Beside energy and water consumption data on indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidifies, and air quality are acquired by means of the BMS. (April 2008)
Installation is completed. (September 2007)
The indoor sensors and heat, electricity, and water meters are already installed. The installation of insolation sensors and weather gouges is being prepared. The monitoring software is being tuned up. (June 2007)
Analysis
All monitored data are stored in a database. That makes analysis rather easy. It, however, took some time to fine-tune the data acquisition system. Some data is missing from the early stage of monitoring what makes the detailed analysis of that period difficult but has no impact on the analysis of total energy and water consumption. (April 2008)
The electricity meter monitoring the production of electricity by the PV system was replaced by a type compatible with the BMS. Processing and analysis of the data acquired from monitoring of the building and building equipment is in progress. (September 2007)
Monitoring of the building performance began on April 1, 2007. The problems with data acquisition are sorted out. The electricity meter monitoring the production of electricity by the PV system does not communicate with the BMS (only manual reading possible). The meter will be replaced by another type of a meter. (June 2007)
